Curated Articles of the Week

Agnieszka Holland's powerful new film Charlatan chosen for 2021 Oscars

Agnieszka Holland, famous film director and a former student of FAMU, will be fighting for an Oscar once again, this time with a movie Charlatan. I bet most of you saw already (in the time gap when cinemas were not closed or restricted because of covid) this biography of Jan Mikulášek, Czech healer and diagnostician played by Ivan Trojan (and his juvenile self performed by his son, Josef Trojan), if you did not, do it and make your own opinion.

How ILM Combined SFX, 3D Printing, Modern VFX in The Mandalorian

If you say Mandalorian and you talking about how it was made, most probably you talking about the use of Virtual Production and that huge stage at ILM. Recommendation of the Week

The Gentlemen (2020)

We're continuing in an "easy-to-watch" trend because we're still in uncertain times. The Gentleman is a typical Ritchie film.

Dudes outnumbering girls by a ratio of 1 to 6 (give or take), it's talky, full of twists, violent and sometimes offensive. And it has a great cast – Matthew McConaughey, Hugh Grant, Jeremy Strong, Charlie Hunnam and Colin Farrell. All fun to watch. It won't be an Oscar contender, but it might make you smile a few times in those almost 2 hours of runtime. Available on Netflix.

Not Trailer, but Soundtrack of the Week

This week we were not happy with a single new trailer. So we decided to give you instead a few recommendations on what to listen. Hope you like it!

The Best Movie Soundtracks of All Time

I don't know if we're the only ones who, after seeing a great movie, listen to the soundtrack just to stay in the mood and let the film slowly digest. The best soundtrack shouldn't be even recognizable during the screen time because it so integral part of the story, that you don't even perceive it. So, get into this article and go one by one of the soundtracks, you won't regret it.
